U.S. Wildfire Cost-Plus-Loss Economics Project

"One-Pager" CHECKLIST

The following links are to HTML and PDF files containing two basic forms (an abbreviated online and full text version) of the 2009 article "U.S. Wildfire Cost-Plus-Loss Economics Project: The 'One-Pager' Checklist" by Bob Zybach, Michael Dubrasich, Gregory Brenner, and John Marker. The remaining link goes to a single-page "working copy" PDF file of the actual checklist. The checklist is intended for interested professionals, affected citizens, public media, landowners, county officials, and others to begin a more comprehensive analysis of individual wildfires. It can be readily used to denote “presence or absence” of costs or damages resulting from a wildfire event; to keep a “range of values” tally of cost and damage estimates; and/or to track and update developing and final figures as they are determined.
