Collins Ridge is located in Section _, Tsp._1 S., Rng. 1 W., in the Jackson Creek tributary of the South Umpqua River In Douglas County, Oregon.

Collins Ridge Area of Special Interest is located within the Jackson Creek subbasin of the South Umpqua River drainage in Collins Ridge was selected as an "Area of Special Interest" for the Upper South Umpqua Headwaters Precontact Reference Study for several reasons:
