This township is entirely within the boundaries of the 2011-2012 Coquelle Trails Project. It includes Woodby Mountain, Lower Land Creek and Coquille River in the Study Area Bridge-Remote and South Fork Historical Districts. This survey was completed in 1866, 1875, 1882, 1910 and 1919, and mapped in 1867, 1875, 1882 and 1919 (Meldrum 1866; Wright 1882a; Hubbs 1910; Ganong 1917).
