This township is entirely within the boundaries of the 2011-2012 Coquelle Trails Project. It includes Split Mountain, Big Creek and Coquille River in the Bridge-Remote and Fairview Districts. This survey was completed in 1875, and 1930 and mapped in 1876 and 1931 (Pershin 1875; Raymond 1929).
