My name is Eric Garner, I am 15 years old and live on a small family ranch in Harney County. I am currently a sophomore at Burns High School.
Local opinions on the topic of wild horses are:

1. Wild horses are a nuisance and cost landowners and ranchers money.
2. They are not native to Steens Mountain and were not here before white settlement.
3. They are being subsidized by the BLM, who uses taxpayer money to feed them and keep them fenced.
